Reigate and Banstead Borough Council

The complainant has requested information from Reigate and Banstead Council (“the Council”) in the form of legal advice in relation to the Core Strategy Review approved by the Council in July 2019.  The Council refused to disclose the requested information, citing section 42(1) of the FOIA as a basis for non-disclosure.  The Commissioner’s decision is that the Council has correctly applied the above exemption to the requested information, therefore the Commissioner requires no steps to be taken.
