The complainant requested information relating to the Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) Serious Case Review (SCR) report relating to a named individual. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) confirmed it held the requested information but refused to provide it, citing sections 40(2) (personal information) and 41 (information provided in confidence) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the MoJ correctly applied section 40(2) to the personal information within the scope of the request and section 41 to the remaining withheld information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision.
