The complainant has requested any records concerning a deceased named individual’s university applications. UCAS withheld the requested information under section 36(2)(c) (prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the requested information is exempt from disclosure under section 36(2)(c) of the FOIA and the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. The Information Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken as a result of this decision notice.
