The complainant has requested the public authority to disclose the reason given by Scott Benton MP for the cancellation of his visit on 25 September 2020. The public authority refused to disclose the requested information in accordance with section 40 of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the public authority is entitled to refuse to disclose the requested information in accordance with section 40 of the FOIA. She therefore does not require any further action to be taken.
