The complainant requested information relating to the Desistance and Disengagement Programme. The Home Office refused to provide the requested information citing section 36(2)(c) (prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs), section 40(2) (personal information) and section 24(1) (national security) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the Home Office was entitled to rely on sections 36(2) and 40(2) to withhold the requested information. The Commissioner requires no steps to be taken as a result of this decision. Information Tribunal appeal EA/2021/0279 appeal dismissed.Â
