The complainant requested information relating to settlement agreements. The University of Cambridge (the “University”) refused the request under the exemption for commercial interests – section 43(2) of the FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the information is commercially sensitive and the University is entitled to withhold it under section 43(2) of FOIA. The public interest favours maintaining the exemption.
The Commissioner does not require the University to take any corrective steps.
