The complainant wrote to the General Register Office (“GRO”), which is part of the Home Office, raising queries about six birth registrations.
The Commissioner’s decision is that the request was not compliant with section 8(1)(c) (Request for information) of FOIA so the Home Office was not obliged to respond to it. No steps are required.
