  • Decision(s) FOI 12: Not upheld

The complainant has requested information relating to the work of the Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities (“the Commission”). Cabinet Office refused to disclose the requested information, and in doing so, relied on section 36(2)(b)(i)(ii) and 36(2)(c) of FOIA (prejudice to the effective conduct of public affairs) and section 12 of FOIA (cost of compliance exceeds appropriate limit) to withhold the information.
The Commissioner’s decision is that Cabinet Office has correctly applied the section 12 of FOIA to withhold the information. No steps are required.
