The complainant has requested information from Greater Manchester Police (“GMP”) about the false social media personas register. GMP refused to disclose the information under sections 31(1)(a) and 31(1)(b) of FOIA.
The Commissioner’s decision is that GMP was entitled to rely on section 31(1)(a) and 31(1)(b) of FOIA and he does not require further steps to be taken by the public authority.
