The complainant has requested information relating to the issuing of COVID-19 vaccine exemption certificates. Cabinet Office refused to provide the information citing section 42(1) of FOIA (legal professional privilege) as its basis for doing so.
The Commissioner’s decision is that Cabinet Office was entitled to rely on section 42 to withhold the requested information and he does not require the public authority to take any further steps.
