The complainant requested information relating to selection exercises for specified judicial positions and for minutes of meetings. The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) provided some information within the scope of the request but withheld the remainder, citing sections 36 (prejudice to effective conduct of public affairs) and 40 (personal information) of FOIA. The Commissioner’s decision is that the JAC was entitled to withhold the information by virtue of sections 36(2)(c) and 40(2) of FOIA.
