- Decision(s) FOI 1: Upheld, FOI 10: Upheld
The complainant requested the email addresses for Traffic Commissioners from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). The Commissioner’s decision is that DVSA has breached section 1(1) and section 10(1) of FOIA in that it failed to provide a valid response to the request under FOIA within the statutory time frame of 20 working days. The Commissioner requires DVSA to take the following step to ensure compliance with the legislation: DVSA must provide a substantive response to the request in accordance with its obligations under FOIA.
Following the issue of the Decision Notice it was brought to the Commissioner's attention that DVSA had provided a response under FOIA. The Commissioner wishes to clarify this point and that the remedial step is therefore not required.
