Channel Four Television Corporation

The complainant submitted a request to Channel Four Television Corporation (Channel 4) for information relating to the insertion of ad breaks in certain online programmes.
The Commissioner’s decision is that this information was held by Channel 4 for the purposes of journalism, art and literature and so was not covered by FOIA. He therefore upholds Channel 4’s position.
The Commissioner does not require further steps as a result of this decision notice.
