The complainant requested from Ulster University (the University) information relating to architecture staff meetings and for External Examiner reports from June 2023. The University withheld some of the information and cited section 43(2) (commercial interests) of FOIA.
The Commissioner’s decision is that the University was entitled to withhold the information under section 43(2) of FOIA and the public interest favours maintaining the exemption. Therefore, the Commissioner does not require the University to take any steps as a result of this decision.
