The Commissioner’s decision is that the BBC correctly applied section 12(1) of FOIA to three of the complainant’s requests about the Media Café. This is because it would exceed the appropriate cost limit to comply with each of these requests. In respect of the three requests, there was no breach of section 16(1) which concerns advice and assistance. It’s not necessary for the BBC to take any corrective steps.
