The complainant has requested information from the Cabinet Office relating to the awarding of an honour to Javad Marandi. The Cabinet Office refused the request citing section 23(5) (security bodies) 40(5) (personal data), 37(1)(b) (honours) and 41(2) (information provided in confidence) of the Freedom of Information Act.
The Commissioner’s decision is that the Cabinet Office is entitled to withhold the requested information about the awarding of an honour to Javad Marandi.
