The complainant has requested information about the Isle of Wight Council’s (the council’s) project to close Arreton Primary School. The council identified and disclosed some cost information during the Commissioner’s investigation but denied holding any further information within the scope of the request. The Commissioner’s decision is that, on the balance of probabilities, the council does not hold any further information within the scope of the request. However, by failing to confirm it holds and disclose the cost information it identified within the statutory time limit, the council has breached section 1(1) and 10 of FOIA. The Commissioner does not require any steps to be taken.
