The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (the ICRIR) provided some information, but refused to confirm or deny whether it held information relating to whether its staff included current or former members of the security and intelligence services. The ICRIR cited section 23(5) of FOIA (information provided by or relating to the security services) in respect of this part of the request. The Commissioner’s decision is that the ICRIR was entitled to rely on section 23(5). No steps are required.
