Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust (OUH) has been served with an Enforcement Notice as a result of evidence seen by the Commissioner about its performance in relation to its statutory duties under the Freedom of Information Act. Between September 2024 and January 2025, OUH had an average compliance rate of just 46% for answering requests within 20 working days. It also had a significant backlog of open items that include unanswered requests for information. The Enforcement Notice requires OUH to review all open items on its system, close any inactive items and provide responses to all requests that are currently more than 20 working days old by 31 October 2025.
