Cancel your registration

Our records show you have an existing registration with the ICO.

If you've received a notice of intention to issue a monetary penalty from us but are no longer required to pay the fee, cancel your registration now.

Once you've cancelled, our records will automatically update and you'll not be given a monetary penalty notice. You don't need to contact us to tell us you've cancelled your registration.

This can be found on your application or renewal correspondence, beginning with Z, A or C.

Do you still hold any personal information electronically? Answer yes even if you're not actively using the information. Holding information electronically could include having stored on laptops, desktop computers, in cloud storage, CDs or USB storage.
