Purpose and lawful basis for processing
The ICO is conducting a survey of our website users so we can understand user’s current experiences with the site and inform future improvements.
The lawful basis we rely on to process your data is consent under article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR.
When we collect information about accessibility requirements or if you choose to disclose any special category data the lawful basis we rely on is article 9(2)(a)
The processing of your personal data is based on your freely given consent at the beginning of the survey. You can withdraw your consent at any time by sending a request to the ICO at [email protected] or using the data controller information listed below.
What we need
We need to collect special category health data relating to accessibility requirements so that we can better understand how all types of users interact with our website and online services.
We need to collect your full name and email address if you’re interested in volunteering to take part in future research opportunities.
What we do with it
We’ll use your name and email address so that we can contact you and add you to our list of volunteers and invite you to participate in future research when the opportunity arises.
We’ll use any accessibility requirements you share to understand user experience and make improvements to our website to ensure we design an equitable and inclusive website experience for all.
