COMPLETE
Headed by Dr Jim Longstaff of Teesside University, this project sought to build, demonstrate and evaluate a prototype Privacy Tool and user interface for potential future use with the Greater Northern Care Records (GNCR). Its wider application linked to the vision of a federated information system covering health and social care, financial, work-seeking and other aspects. It aimed to develop a prototype tool that could provide a means for individuals in the North East to better regulate and share the access of their healthcare records.
Outputs
The tool can be found in prototype form and a public access web- based version is being prepared. The report, ‘On citizens controlling access to their health and social care data for direct care’ is available on the Teesside website.
