Data protection fee self assessment
You need to pay £78
If your business or orgasniation uses CCTV systems, you must pay the data protection fee. Based on your answers you're in tier two, which means your fee will be £78.
How to pay
If you pay your fee annually by credit or debit card, cheque or BACS, please follow the instructions on our payment page.
You can also set up a direct debit with us. Organisations that pay by direct debit get a £5 discount on your fee.
If you have an existing direct debit and your tier has stayed the same, your registration will be automatically renewed so you don't need to take any action and you can exit this self assessment.
No matter how you pay your fee, if the amount you need to pay this year is different from the amount you paid last year - you must let us know before renewing your fee.
If you've received a notice of intention to issue a monetary penalty from us, you only have to pay the annual data protection fee and not a penalty. Once you've paid the fee, our records will automatically update and you will not be given a monetary penalty notice.
