Data protection fee

The Information Commissioner’s Office is the regulator of data protection and other information rights legislation, we are sponsored by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Information Commissioner's Office - GOV.UK (opens in new tab).

Under the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018, organisations (including sole traders) that use personal information need to pay a data protection fee, unless they are exempt.
